Tim Bustin |

Tim graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London, in 1984 with a degree
in Electronic Engineering. He started as a hardware engineer developing professional
Cable TV headend receivers for a small UK manufacturer then moved to Amstrad as
a project manager for high volume Satellite TV products becoming Design Engineering
Manager in 1995.
Tim moved to Symbionics Ltd in 1996 and successfully managed
several Digital TV product development products including
Toshiba's DVB-T STB for ITV Digital. He has also led teams
developing software for DVB test equipment and products with
an embedded internet browser.
Tim also has experience in
Business Management and developing quality standards for
project management 'best practice'.

Ciaran McAleer |

Ciaran graduated from Glasgow University in 1996 with a
European Masters degree in Electronic and Electrical
Engineering. He has worked in hardware development in a
number of fields including fixed telecoms, Digital TV and
power supply design.
Ciaran has also gained commercial experience in his sales
and business management roles for both Maxim Integrated Products and Tality (formerly Symbionics).

Niels Thomsen |

Niels is an Electronics Engineering graduate of Copenhagen Technical College.
Since moving to England in 1984, he has spent most of his career
in embedded systems development, usually in the murky waters of hardware/software
integration and device driver development.
Whilst working for a number of companies in and around Cambridge, he has played
key roles in the design and development of digital TV products, industrial automation
systems, inspection systems, mobile data communications systems and audio-visual
products.

Paul graduated from Brunel University with a Masters degree in
Microelectronics System Design. Since 1983 he has held senior positions in
both product and consultancy companies in the Cambridge area.
His background in product development varies from low volume products,
including Biosenors, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Infrared Line Scanners
to high volume products such as digital TV and wireless consumer devices.

Derek is a Computational Science graduate of Leeds University.
He first ventured south in 1981 and has worked for various software and hardware companies around Cambridge ever since,
designing and implementing both applications and device drivers for PCs and embedded hardware.
Most recently working with digital TV, he has developed application and system software for custom devices, PDAs and hardware development platforms.
